PharmaBatch buyer, seller and marketplace FAQs

PharmaBatch is a private B2B marketplace where approved pharmaceutical organisations can list available medicine batches, review seller offers, publish requests for quotation and manage responses.

Eligible pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations may apply for buyer access. Seller applications are limited to legal entities established in one of the 27 EU member states, with relevant organisation and wholesale-authorisation evidence.

Yes. Verified seller access includes all buyer tools, so the same approved account can request listed stock and publish RFQs as well as list batches and respond to demand.

No. Buyer access is buying only. It cannot list stock or respond to RFQs as a seller. Selling requires eligible verified seller access and seller-level review.

No. EU wholesale distributors are authorised and inspected by the relevant national competent authority. EMA operates EudraGMDP and coordinates EU-level GDP activity, but it does not itself license every wholesaler.

PharmaBatch uses jurisdiction-appropriate licence review and exact-pack data, while River Pharma GmbH performs a transaction-specific review. Batch, origin and traceability information can support authenticity checks and reduce counterfeit or diversion risk, but the platform does not give a blanket guarantee for any product or transaction.

No. The complete medicine and pack directory is reserved for approved members and administrators. Public visitors cannot browse stock, prices or the internal product dataset.

An approved buyer can request quantity from a live seller offer. If no suitable offer is available, the buyer can create a request for quotation (RFQ) against the exact medicine pack.

An approved seller selects the exact pack from the private medicine directory and submits quantity, supplier net price, origin, expiry, storage and other relevant details. A new offer enters administrator review before it becomes live.

An approved seller may submit a specific batch only while it remains saleable under its quality procedures and applicable requirements. The offer must state the actual expiry, quantity, origin, storage conditions and supplier net price. Short-dated does not automatically mean suitable for every buyer or route, and a listing does not guarantee transaction acceptance.

The participating seller enters its supplier net price for an offer or RFQ response. PharmaBatch adds the fixed 6.5% marketplace fee to create the buyer-facing final product price. Each participant sees only the price applicable to its side; exact counterparty prices remain confidential.

No. The 6.5% marketplace fee is already included in the final product price shown to the buyer. Transaction-specific logistics, duties, taxes, insurance or special handling may be itemised separately in the applicable transaction documents and invoice.

For a direct offer, the seller first confirms the buyer’s request. For an RFQ, the buyer selects one response. The selected transaction then enters administrator review; an order record is created only after approval.

River Pharma GmbH is PharmaBatch’s Germany-based wholesale execution partner under this operating model. It independently reviews each proposed transaction. Where River Pharma GmbH accepts the transaction and is named in the applicable transaction documents, it becomes the wholesale contracting and invoicing party.

For a transaction accepted for wholesale execution, the buyer receives the commercial medicine invoice from River Pharma GmbH—not from PharmaBatch. The supplier receives purchasing instructions and settlement under the accepted transaction terms.

No. A listing, RFQ, displayed price, match or administrator action is not a guarantee of supply or automatic acceptance. Product details, documents, availability, counterparties and transaction conditions must still be reviewed and accepted.

No. PharmaBatch is a B2B marketplace and workflow provider. It is not a patient ordering service, does not prescribe medicines and does not provide medical advice.

Submitted organisation and licence documents are stored outside the public web directory and are available only to the applicant and authorised administrators.
