How the B2B pharmaceutical marketplace works
See how approved buyers and verified EU and UK sellers use exact-pack offers and RFQs before a proposed transaction moves into review and possible wholesale acceptance.
1. Apply for marketplace access
Choose buyer access for buying only, or verified seller access for buying and selling. Seller applications are accepted only from legal entities established in the EU-27 or United Kingdom. Registration does not open marketplace tools immediately; the application is reviewed first.
2. Match the exact pack
Approved members search the private medicine directory by brand, active ingredient, strength, dosage form, manufacturer or PZN. The selected record keeps each offer and request attached to the intended presentation.
Route A — choose a listed offer
An approved buyer can review live seller offers and request a quantity. The seller confirms or declines the request before it moves to administrator review.
Route B — ask sellers for a quote
When no suitable offer is available, an approved buyer can create a request for quotation (RFQ). Sellers respond with quantity, supplier net price, origin, expiry and storage details. Buyers compare a final product price that already includes the 6.5% marketplace fee before selecting one response for review.
3. Send the selected proposal for review
The selected commercial path enters an administrator queue and is handed to River Pharma GmbH, Germany, for its own transaction, counterparty and document review. A platform match is not an automatic wholesale acceptance.
4. Confirm the commercial transaction
If River Pharma GmbH accepts the proposed transaction, it confirms the applicable transaction terms and issues the buyer’s commercial medicine invoice. The supplier receives the corresponding purchasing and fulfilment instructions.
5. Keep the activity together
Requests, seller responses, decisions, notifications and order status remain in the participating organisations’ accounts. Payment, supplier settlement and delivery conditions are governed by the accepted transaction documents.
